I'm using R4 with the latest upsampling updates. (which works great
BTW)

I'm using a USB serial port adapter that I have had for a very long
time, so everybody has drivers for it. The difference was that the
computer the adapter is plugged into was powered down over night, the
only thing I can think of is that the reboot reset the adapter and
somehow that changed the behavior.

The strange thing was that it DID work yesterday, but only after I first
logged in with SSH. I powered up the wandboard and the different swamp
boards multiple times and got the same behavior yesterday. They are all
working fine with boot messages today.

I can debug fine today so unless it happens again there is no need to
worry about it. I don't think too many people are using the serial
port.

Thanks,

John S.
