This does look like the problem - when restarted with a power cycle its
possible for jivelite to startup before the network is up and this
causes it to freeze.
Clive - is there a simple way to make the user start up after the
network and ntp are active? Problem case has jivelite starting up
before the time is set and network is available. Otherwise I'll see if
we can add a wait for the network mechanism. Not sure about the
consequences of creating files before the date is set though?
