At some point I intend to "strip" it back down, but for the moment I don't want to keep switching between the development image I'm using and the "user" image you are using. I also want to mirror what the "official" Fedora images have done. They've gone to a 8GB image. I kind of disagree with the Fedora ARM release philosophy, of having a 500MB second partition as swap. That's brain-dead, swap on a sdcard! And not using tmpfs for "/tmp", but a lot of devices do not have the luxury of 1GB or 2GB (with the quad) memory size, which we have with the Wand. But it'll become clear to you guys later why we are mirroring their layout, when the CSOS image supports booting on Panda, Beagle, Cubie.... not just the Wandboard. You just need to "flash" the relevant uboot to SPI, sdcard or wherever the device boots from. I have had a *?@!$# of a day! Getting userspace firmware loading to support our 3.0.35 kernel working again. (It has been stripped out in F19). Which kind of made a farce of wanting to have a 3.0.35 kernel option to still be able to give you guys wi-fi, which 3.11 doesn't support for the time being, and then no wi-fi with F19 and 3.0.35 due to the 2 binary firmware blobs not being loaded by udev. Anyway, sorting that has now given me another problem with running the 3.11 dev kernel, so the first "ALPHA" F19 image will do without it and 3.0.35 will remain the default kernel. (At least, until next week! :)) But what I have got now is where it is going to stop for the moment. I need to devote my time to other things, most notably the driver for the JS carrier board. Later this evening, I'll clean-up the F19 rootfs, which I currently have running on a hard drive, and get the sdcard image made....... So bottom line Pascal, I hope you will obtain a new, larger sdcard and not give me too much of a hard time over needing an 8GB card for the F19 images. Alternatively, stick with the F18 based image for the moment. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JackOfAll's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98544 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
