Hi hoffsta Regarding your first question with bad sound from the audio jack. Did you use the picoreplayer menu and from here choose the "analog audio option" and next choose "restart squeezelite option"? For me there is no stuttering via analog output. Are you using wired or WiFi connection?
Regarding you second question, I think I made a mistake in the setting of the audio output, so the resent versions of piCorePlayer are not using 100%. Could you at the command promt write: amixer set PCM 400 unmute Steen piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi (25MB in RAM).
