Solving problems is best done step by step - dealing with something that is known to be wrong, fixing it, then seeing whether that solves all the problems, if it doesn't then looking at the next issue.
As well as DJanGo's sensible suggestions you could also check the cue files - take one of them, say the one referenced by DJanGo, i.e.: ///mnt/music/italian_prog/Ibis/Ibis%20-%201971%20-%20Nico,%20Gianni,%20Frank,%20Maurizio%20-%20Canti%20D%27innocenza,%20Canti%20D%27esperienza %20(ape)/Nico,%20Gianni,%20Frank,%20Maurizio%20-%20Canti%20D%27innocenza%20Canto%20D%27esperienza. cue which, after converting the %xx to characters, is: ///mnt/music/italian_prog/Ibis/Ibis - 1971 - Nico, Gianni, Frank, Maurizio - Canti D'innocenza, Canti D'esperienza (ape)/Nico, Gianni, Frank, Maurizio - Canti D'innocenza Canto D'esperienza. cue This points to the wave file: /mnt/music/italian_prog/Ibis/Ibis - 1971 - Nico, Gianni, Frank, Maurizio - Canti D'innocenza, Canti D'esperienza (ape)/Nico, Gianni, Frank, Maurizio - Canti D'innocenza Canto D'esperienza.wav Does the wave file exist? If it doesn't exist either rename the cue files as suggested or move them elsewhere until you sort out the problem. If it does exist, does the filename EXACTLY match the file on the HDD? If the filename or path is wrong, then edit the cue file in a text editor (look for the line near the top that starts "FILE"). If the filename is correct, does LMS (squeezeboxserver) have correct permissions for the music library folder and subdfolders? (By the way, as long as both the cue file and the music file it points to are in the *same folder* you don't have to specify the path in the cue file - you can just give the filename. Specifying the full path in the cue file will cause problems if you move files around or change folder names, etc.) Touch, Meridian G92, Meridian G55, PMC FB1+ speakers, HP Proliant Microserver/Ubuntu, PC/Windows 7, iPad 4, iPeng, Squeezepad. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JohnB's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99985 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
