piCorePlayer should work out of the box if you just plug in your
headphones into the audio Jack on the raspberry board. 
You could start trying this, so that you are sure that everything is
working.

Next if you want to use your USB-DAC you will need to tell piCorePlayer
the right output settings. Therefore in the piCorePlayer menu you choose
the option to change different aspects of the piCorePlayer like ALSA
settings, NAme, and Output settings etc. 
In this option you choose to change output settings, and here I think
you should use: front:CARD=PCM2702,DEV=0
Then save the changes and remember to restart the player (also an option
in the menu). And then I hope you will have sound streaming from your
USB-DAC.
