I just downloaded the latest player and I'm running it on one of the older original RPis. I have connected the HDMI output to my receiver which can accept up to 24-bit/192kHz.
I've enabled the HDMI audio output, rebooted, and changed the Squeezelite Output settings so they are -o sysdefault:CARD=ALSA (using the picoreplayer menu). I can play standard 16-bit/44.1kHz files now but any high bit rate files do not play, in fact with the web access the files plays but nothing is heard.
