I have LMS (7.7.3) running on a PC in one room that streams music to a Raspberry Pi (with piCorePlayer) in another room. LMS connects to piCorePlayer just fine when running Windows XP on the PC. However, on Linux Mint 13 (Mate) LMS cannot detect piCorePlayer on the Raspberry Pi. So I have two questions:
1) I'm wondering if anyone has LMS working on a PC utilizing a Linux OS. I may need to switch Linux distros on my main PC just to get LMS working on Linux, but I'd like to confirm which distros run LMS and connect to piCorePlayer without issues. 2) Are there any specific instructions I need to follow when installing LMS in Linux (in my case, Linux Mint 13 Mate)? I followed the instructions on Logitech's site, which basically involves installing the deb file. I also tried a few things listed online that involved opening the firewall, installing missing packages, etc., but nothing seems to work. Should I just change distros, or am I missing something? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bobsmithhome's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62319 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
