The reset button on the carrier board, is a hard reset, akin to unplugging the power and plugging it back in. ie. it's not a nice and controlled shutdown, whereby services are stopped, and file systems are nicely unmounted. For the most part, the ext4 journalling file system that is being used for the root partition, will and does recover from this, without issue, but sooner or later...... Anyway, Bruno has provided an example of triggering a "controlled" software shutdown using an external switch.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JackOfAll's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99395 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
