If it's hanging due to the exe being in use, I'd expect stopping the
service before upgrading to resolve that, but I seriously doubt this
anyway. Humour me. Does "sudo package-cleanup --problems" show anything?
For whatever reason that you needed to pull the power the first time,
might have ended up with yum in the middle of a transaction, and a
corrupted rpmdb.
