I am a keen squeezebox user. In the main room, I have a transporter
hidden away in a cupboard and a nice large HD tv on the wall. I would
like to set up a music display/control, where my wife and I can control
music selection via the std remote (well a mapped version of the std
remote using a harmony 900 with RF) with the display on the HD tv.

My idea is to load Jivelite on a Raspberry PI. I plan to put the
Raspberry Pi in the cupboard with FLIRC usb dongle (harmony will 'get
to' this via the IR blasters in the cupboard). The Raspberry Pi would
drive the TV via HDMI.

Due to this being in the living room for myself, wife and family, it is
vital this is simple (if you get my drift ;)) so my questions are:

1. can the Raspberry Pi run Jivelite from boot up. I plan to leave the
Pi on but in the event of a restart want to ensure it will load by
default.
2. can Jivelite control a different player, not running on the Pi (the
transporter) by default (I have 5 other players on the network)?
3. do I need FLIRC to control via Harmony or is there a simpler way via
the Harmony (mimicing the std Logitech squeezebox remote or something
else?) I don't want to use a smart phone or tablet to control as my wife
is used to and likes std remote functions.
4. will Jivelite respond to remote use like a touch, moving up and down
lists etc?
5. Can I get the display to default to Now Playing once the track/album
is selected (I think this will be via screen saver) but I have seen some
comments on here that lead to think there may be a problem here.
6 Is what I am trying to do possible or am I chasing shadows!

Thanks in advance for comment/help and pointers as to steps of setup on
a Pi would be very welcome.
