@koymoy - I won't put words in Steen's mouth, but IMHO the beauty of this project is the ability to leverage Tiny Core Linux with a SD card image specifically targeting the Raspberry Pi platform as a player. The whole project depends on having a working LMS. Given the architecture of the ASUS box, I don't see the two worlds coming together to use this player image directly.
That doesn't mean that you couldn't take the learnings and approach from this project and apply it to your ASUS box. It appears that you have had some luck talking to people over on the ASUS forums about getting the LMS server instance working. It seems that the ADM that is proprietary to the ASUS approach is the challenge. For the player, you could utilize Adrian's (Triode) squeezelite player. There is an x86 binary that most likely will work if there was indeed success with the LMS on the ASUS box. It will still take some tinkering to figure out ALSA on the ASUS platform and any other peculiarities. Good luck. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mcdudeabides's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=57765 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
