Cubietruck I2S is really only for the "advanced" DIY'ers with soldering skills. If surface mount frightens you, stay the hell away. ;) (This is a whole different ball game to soldering a 10 pin, 2.54mm pitch header on the Pi.) Triode took one look at his board and said something to the effect, that I wasn't seriously going to suggest that people resolder the resitors to make I2S available. They're a bit small! (Or something to that effect. That was the gist of it. LOL) I haven't modded my board yet, and I'm not going to. My eyes are naff even with optics and magnifiers, and then that's before we get to the rheumatoid arthritis that means my hands aren't as steady as they once were. When I'm at a point where I'm happy to lose my board for a couple of days, I'll send it off to a friend to mod. (I already managed to destroy one WB carrier board, with a soldering iron.) Did you read the thread on the Cubieforums, 'ALSA bit-perfect output' (http://www.cubieforums.com/index.php?topic=1081.0)? (There is some info there about which resistors need to be desoldered and moved to new locations to get I2S to the header.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JackOfAll's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99395 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
