The primary purpose of dsdplay is to support PCM output of DSD for the majority of LMS users, with "real" hardware players, so they can actually play DSD tracks and get sound output. (And maybe someone with a Touch that is capable of 192k with the EDO plugin, outputting DoP to a DoP capable DAC.) The number of users with a squeezelite based client player is going to insignificant compared to the above. But the whole point of having the DSD->PCM and DSD->DoP functionality built-in to squeezelite, is so that the back-end "transcoding" isn't required in that case. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JackOfAll's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99395 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
