'F19-R8' (http://www.vacuumtube.org.uk/images/wandboard/CSOS/F19-R8)
(Images not there yet, uploading now.)
I had a list of loose ends, with the last R7 image. Nothing major.
Things like people with routers not masq'ing back to privileged ports
which screwed up ntp services, which resulted in the date not being set,
and the "yum update" not working and LMS getting cranky. And disabling
the wi-fi power management, which seemed to be causing a problem, again
with AP/routers. And making the 7.8.0 "officially unofficial release"
LMS the default.
The dual and quad images are uploading now. Should be there before the
end of the day. I'm uncomfortable with this both ways round. Putting
another CS image out there and putting it out there under another name,
which is likely to result in finger pointing and more comments about
fragmenting or splitting the community. (The plan was to get Triode up
to speed this week with image making and Triode put out the new image.
But, I've not been able to contact him.) I don't know whether this is
the right or wrong thing to do. Any negative comments to /dev/null. I
can just as easily delete the images from the server.....
Images uploading now. Should be there by the end of the day. But I've
got other things to do today, so I post now before they have uploaded.
Here are my notes. They are not very verbose. I can expand on them
later. Have somewhere I need to be right now.
Code:
--------------------
Use non-privileged ports for ntp
-u to /etc/sysconfig/ntpdate
port 11123 to /etc/chrony.conf
disk-scheduler-udev
Disk scheduler noop for non-rotational, cfq for rotational.
wandboard-local (/etc/rc.d/rc.local)
Disable wi-fi power management
Make ondemand governor more responsive
soxr - SIMD
squeezelite - 'z' (multi-thread soxr) resample flag.
Make '-u Ez' the UPSAMPLE default.
kernel-3.0.35-cm77
Default IO scheduler NOOP -> CFG.
Default governor PERFORMANCE -> ONDEMAND.
Change PREEMPT: VOLUNTARY.
LMS: Downgrade to 7.8.0 'release'
Install PlayDSD plugin. (minVersion modified to 7.8.)
Disable tomcat.
Disable the plymouth services.
Test USB1 DAC without hub.
