Hi Triode I use Squeezelite on a Raspberry Pi with the Wolfson Audio card, running on the custom Wolfson Raspian image.
I could not get the YouTube plugin to play audio through Squeezelite. Looking in the Squeezelite log, the card could not be opened at the rate 22050 which was what was being supplied by YouTube. (The Wolfson card is supposed to support sample rates from 4kHz to 192kHz, so I wonder if this is an issue with the Wolfson image. I will post on the Farnell support forum and see if this is a known issue.) Initially I tried supplying the parameter *-r 44100-19200*, to force 44100 playback which I know works OK. The problem I was having was that the device would open at 44100 OK, but the stream would immediately stop. Pressing play again started the stream at 22050, ignoring the minimum sample rate, and failing to open the audio device. Is this behaviour correct? The version of Squeezelite I'm using is one I built with FFmpeg and Resample options. Having also built the soxr library, I started Squeezelite with parameters *-r 192000 -u X*. This works OK, with the downside that CPU usage for squeezelite-armv6hf goes to a maximum of 90% on starting a track, but apart from that, all is working OK. Any suggestions for a better workaround? Thanks for your efforts in creating a great program. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ badboygolf16v's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19486 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97046 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
