For the moment I am holding off doing this for exactly this reason - I don't think we should be distributing an arch image include the arch root file system. If you can stand the two stage process of booting the wandboard into another distro and then using the create-sdcard script I think it is reasonably user friendly (it also enables a couple of things which a straight arch install won't do such as enable ntp and set the number of cpus for makepkg) My current thoughts are to make jivelite, lms and wandboard kernel optional installs which are controlled from the web ui. This should mean that people don't need to ssh to the device to install them. I'm still thinking about whether we should do a binary repo for the soa specific components and whether we can make the original install easier. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Triode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101624 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
