Sorry can't replicate your problem, using a B - originally with the pi
board's audio jack, but now with a USB DAC.  And a B+ with HifiBerry
DAC+, but using pi board's audio jack until the DAC+ is supported.

I can however confirm that at -10 seconds the buffer is at 0% and at
that point buffers the next track. (Music Information Screen plugin on
my Boom and Classic) see below.

Excuse dust on Classic it's in my workshop/garage.
