I spent 15 hours comparing Pi/HiFiBerry to Receiver/DAC via Coax & was able to remotely switch between the 2 inputs on my Naim Pre. It was no contest- the external DAC was miles better. I now have Pi/USB DAC playing 24/192 & so far, so good.
