Adrian. Got a question. What's the intention behind the custom kernel feature? I don't see any possibilities to customize anything!??!
As far as I can see just two patches will be applied and then the base kernel is taken. I don't have any option to customize anything, e.g. adding my own stripped down .config or adding my 300Hz.patch I'd love to add the much newer kernel sources I refered to earlier as well. Obviously all this will be difficult to accomplish via SOA web interface. Ok. The only way I see is: Once started, I could wait until the downloads are done, I could kill the makepkg process, edit the PKGBUILD, add my files and start manually makekpg over again. I think the process should be changed. Perhaps offering precompiled kernels could be an option. Beside that compilation time with those fully configured kernels takes ages on these arm boards. (I usually crosscompile kernels for RPI and CT) And not to forget. It is not recommended to run this on the SD cards!!! If possible such a process should be transferred to an attached HDD Cheers ::: ' Touch Toolbox and more' (http://soundcheck-audio.blogspot.com) ::: by soundcheck ------------------------------------------------------------------------ soundcheck's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34383 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101624 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
