Sure, that's a fair point. But in the overall scheme of things...... I did have a look at Perl IPv6 support, (think it was back when packaging that Shairtunes plugin), and thinking it wouldn't be too much work to add support to LMS. Likewise, squeezelite..... Not that I'm suggesting it should even be anywhere on your list to add IPv6 support, (and until LMS includes it, it would be pointless anyway), really not much work..... The point was more, until the mainstream ISP's implement IPv6, it is simply not going to drive adoption in the UK. And that doesn't look likely to happen anytime soon. I've heard great things about A&A, but the fact is, when you have Plusnet and Talk Talk offering unlimited access for a couple of quid a month, and the biggies, BT/Sky/Virgin, with no intention to implement any time soon, A&A might pick up a couple of customers that are willing to "pay" for the pleasure of IPv6, but the rest of us will be hanging back on IPv4 and seeing no need to even make our apps that are currently IPv4 ONLY, work with IPv6. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JackOfAll's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101624 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
