Well I tried an install of ARCH followe by the SoA install instructions - i.e. the original install method. That worked and I can boot the WB and it comes up with an IP address.
So success there. BUT the whole reason I did this was to get the wireless network tab back which had disappeared some while back. However it still isn't showing. I recall some issues here a while back.
