Hi.

I don't agree with this.

Many Debian based ARM installs (I've been running) are also minimal
installs.
Debian comes with tons of more of-the-shelve-packages. All this Arch
needs to cover through AUR. Stuff gets pretty complex and time
consuming by using AUR.
Arch systems usually require a lot more Linux expertise and effort.
On ARM Boards many time the same/very similar kernels and firmware are
used. This wouldn't be an argument for Arch either.
The Debian community (support) is much much bigger. If you wouldn't have
a Triode in the back fixing all your stuff, you'll be left alone quickly
on Arch.

Where Arch Linux IMO shines:

* Arch usually comes with most current software. Debian usually runs
much older stuff. Especially when looking at compilers, Perl etc. That's
IMO important for ARM machines in particular.
* The AUR handling, as done by Triode, allows for HW specific (Gentoo
style) compilations from sources which, can give better performances on
different HW.
Triode is still using pretty generic compiler options though. There's
some tweaking potential left.

Cheers
