I've updated the install images (links from post #1) The updated images check to see that ntp is synchronized before starting the install. They also add the standard arch ntp servers to the list of possible servers so this should avoid the problem seen before.
The images also include a new feature on the update page which allows the sdcard to be reflashed with latest soa installer image without removing the sdcard. This is intended to allow updates which are more significant than can be achieved with just the update mechanism. At present you may need to wait 30 seconds and then refresh the browser (check ip address on at least cubietruck).
