I finally found that LMS was fine after all once I had fixed the DBI install, and the problem now seems to be just Fedora 21 vs Squeezelite. I have a messy setup, with Squeezelite on the LMS server as one client, where the other two clients are a proper Squeezebox receiver and a Cubox also running Squeezelite which is also fine. Two clients work fine now, but Squeezelite on my server will not produce audible output yet, for reasons yet to be determined.
And, stupidly, I was using Squeezelite on the server to determine whether everything was OK when trying one of the other clients would have shown me that it was. So my LMS 7.9.0 is well again. Mherger - is there any more information I can provide to help you shepherd LMS ever onwards?
