Found the old hack .

- In Home > Settings > Advanced > Remote login, enable SSH
- SSH in as root, password 1234
- Back up the file you're about to edit:

Code:
--------------------
        cp -p /usr/share/jive/jive/audio/Playback.lua
/usr/share/jive/jive/audio/Playback.lua.bak
--------------------

- Edit /usr/share/jive/jive/audio/Playback.lua with 'vi', replacing
  the line

Code:
--------------------
                decode:audioGain(data.gainL, data.gainR)
--------------------

which you should find around line #819 with

Code:
--------------------
                decode:audioGain(65536, 65536)
--------------------

- Reboot your Touch (use the 'reboot' command)
- For good measure, use Home > Settings > Advanced > Remote login and
  disable SSH

In your case the value 65536 has to be replaced with something else for
one channel range is 0-65536, hmm I think I have the complete volume map
for SB2 written down somewhere it may be in the same file somewhere to
give a clue on suitable values to try with .
This breaks the normal volume controll you will still se different
values when using the volume but the values actually used are these har
coded ones .
