The other option is to download the 32bit or 64 bit (depending on your system) static build of ffmpeg from: http://johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/ (I downloaded build 2.5.4.)
The downloaded file needs to be unzipped (twice) using, say, 7-zip. The ffmpeg file can then be copied to the -/usr/bin/- folder. On my system the file settings are: Permisions: 755 user: root group: root This works for me on Ubuntu Server 12.04 Touch, Meridian G92, Meridian G55, PMC OB1i speakers, HP Proliant Microserver/Ubuntu, PC/Windows 7, iPad 4, iPeng, Squeezepad. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JohnB's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103150 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
