Well, actually I don't know how to change the whole computers output to the usb DAC. I tried to turn off the sound peripherals in KDE configuration, but it didn't make a lot. I downloaded squeezelite sources and compiled it, but it doesn't work. I tried compiling squeezeslave, but it's the same. Actually, if I run : $ squeezelite -o pulse I've got no error message, but there's no real sound if I run with other output, my usb sound card given by -l option : $ squeezelite -o front:CARD=DragonFly,DEV=0 I have : [20:29:56.791178] test_open:294 playback open error: Device or resource busy [20:29:56.791218] output_init_common:381 unable to open output device I tried running squeezelite from root, same. I tried also googling, the problem is that only squeezebox software players don't work with usb dacs so far, everything other players work fine. Found also a lot of things about raspberry but no use for me. I'm using squeezelite with an usb sound card (audioengine w1 for remote playing) for years, and never had a problem.
