The only way currently aviable is to put an ac3 or dts stream ina wav or
flac file keep volume at 100% and then conect to a ht preamp or reciver
via spdiff or toslink ( possibly hdmi ) and let that component decode .
( only hiss at analog out ).

No discrete multichannel playback that i'm aware off .

But i do think its mostly at the player end i think LMS is agnostic to
the channel count in flac files , it will hppily try to send them to any
squeezebox , the sqedzebox usually crashes :)

To make this a viable option it needs a lot of work .

Make a multichannel player .

Make lms aware of ch count in files .

And a framework for detcting channel capability of players in LMS . And
set up transcoding/downmux to 2ch players etc
