The only way currently aviable is to put an ac3 or dts stream ina wav or flac file keep volume at 100% and then conect to a ht preamp or reciver via spdiff or toslink ( possibly hdmi ) and let that component decode . ( only hiss at analog out ). No discrete multichannel playback that i'm aware off . But i do think its mostly at the player end i think LMS is agnostic to the channel count in flac files , it will hppily try to send them to any squeezebox , the sqedzebox usually crashes :) To make this a viable option it needs a lot of work . Make a multichannel player . Make lms aware of ch count in files . And a framework for detcting channel capability of players in LMS . And set up transcoding/downmux to 2ch players etc -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
