Looking at your last three posts I'm assuming that you're recovering from a major stroke. I'm presuming that was the reason you disappeared from the forum back in 2012 ? I hope that you're on the mend and coping with the massive frustration of waiting for your brain functions to slowly return after your illness (I had a stoke myself at the age of 21 and the four years recovery after it was the most frustrating time of my life). Back to your OP, I agree with utgg that the Hifiberry DAC (or maybe the IQaudIO DAC) should sound as good as anything else available. Modern cheap DAC's are pretty good now !
