The problem had me scratching my head a lot. A song would play for 60-120 seconds then the squeezebox couldn't connect. Whilst it was playing, I could ping it. When it dropped off, I couldn't. Had rebooted everything in various orders. I ended up doing a factory reset on the router and it seems fine now (has been going for over five minutes!). It was a bit of a pain, as I had the router to accept only certain devices for security - anything wireless here runs with a fixed address. (Pretty sure this wasn't the issue, as I was testing with only wired components.) Must have been another router setting. Firewall? UPnP? Suspect I will never know. All I am fairly sure about is that the Joggler was happy with the router settings. Swapped it for a Pi and something didn't jive. That will be no help to anyone!
