hi hybride, The whole volume control stuff does my head in. :D Yeah, I know, I am not the sharpest pencil in the box! If you are adjusting the volume in the digital domain who cares if LMS does it, ALSA does it, you link LMS to adjust ALSA or in some cases your DAC does it. I suppose different software may or may not do it better? I thought if you really want to do it properly you need to adjust the volume in the analog domain, i.e. after your DAC, with a good old pot. Anyway, you could try commenting out the following line from /mnt/mmcblk0p1/config.cfg and reboot to disable the on board sound card. This will force your DAC to be card 0. dtparam=audio=on -> #dtparam=audio=on We have added some shortcuts to make editing this file easier. Still need to know vi. :o At the Linux prompt, type $ m1 $ c1 $ vicfg then $ pcp br These commands mount partition 1, change directory to partition 1 and vi config.txt. Finally backup and reboot. regards Greg ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Greg Erskine's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7403 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
