Here we are again! What happened, I am not sure. I re-installed CentOS 7 a few days ago and promptly I was unable to get LMS 7.9 workig again. I did not save my working 7.9 Install from back when, and I'm unable to get it working again.
Here's what I did, which does not work: 1) Tried installing the latest 7.9 Beta from the Webpage: logitechmediaserver-7.9.0-0.1.1453293926.noarch.rpm Which has the errors below. then I 2) Tried installing what I found in the squeezecommunity repo. I did not know there was a repo for LMS, so I was all happy about this. squeezecommunity-repo-1-5.el7.noarch.rpm Sadly there are only packages in the Testing repo, so I enabled that. Leading me to get the following package: logitechmediaserver-vendor-7.9.0-0.7.20140409git1396988329.el7.centos.x86_64 logitechmediaserver-firmware-ip3k-7.9.0-0.91.20150903git1441262387.el7.centos.noarch logitechmediaserver-CPAN-7.9.0-0.19.20150426git1426673042.el7.centos.x86_64 logitechmediaserver-7.9.0-0.91.20150903git1441262387.el7.centos.noarch However Regardless of the LMS 7.9 RPM that I install, the result is that I have the following entries in the server.log: [16-01-21 11:11:39.2185] MAIN::INIT (383) STARTING LOGITECH MEDIA SERVER (V7.9.0, 0.91.20150903GIT1441262387, WED SEP 9 20:27:34 UTC 2015) PERL 5.016003 [16-01-21 11:11:39.4300] SLIM::SCHEMA::INIT (163) WARNING: CREATING NEW DATABASE - EMPTY, OUTDATED OR INVALID DATABASE FOUND [16-01-21 11:11:39.4958] SLIM::UTILS::SQLITEHELPER:OSTCONNECT (373) OPTIMIZING DB BECAUSE OF MISSING OR EMPTY SQLITE_STAT1 TABLE [16-01-21 11:11:39.5006] SLIM::SCHEMA::FORCECOMMIT (2149) WARNING: TRYING TO COMMIT TRANSACTIONS BEFORE DB IS INITIALIZED! AND OFCOURSE MEDIA SCAN DOES NOT WORK AND THE SQUEEZESERVER WEB PAGE HANGS. CentOS 7 and RHEL 7 will always have the same perl version, but here it is just for posterity, in case it is relevant: # perl --version This is perl 5, version 16, subversion 3 (v5.16.3) built for x86_64-linux-thread-multi (with 29 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail) I'd be happy to test stuff (again, asl always =) if anyone has suggestions.
