Update: Having tried a few (more) reboots commanded from the web interface I noticed that Shairport player was running; however Jivelite wasn't. So I tried a power off & on and I now have Jivelite and Shairport Player working! Sorry that I have no satisfactory explanation. Shairtunes LMS plugin from DSTMK not active BTW.
