Hi, comparing two complete different devices always result in minor or bigger differences. I dont have your DAC - so cant help with the codec device. If the player get louder when you increase the volume on alsamixer and the gui from lms - then its "your" device. If not try another device in the setup. If nothing else helps - decrease the volume on the loudest System to match the quietest.
