Can you look at the wifi diagnostics.   What is your wifi
manufacturer/chipset/driver

The rtl8188 chipsets that use the rtl8192cu driver are very hit and
miss.    There has been a lot of playing around with the driver in
kernel.

The common EDLMax EW-7811UN worked rather well in 4.1.x kernels, but in
the 4.4.x kernel it is back to it's old tricks of not responding to
Windows based arp requests.   It connects with my router fine, and
responds to arp requests from other linux boxes, just not windows.  
Luckily my LMS server is linux based.
