Its nice to add some Realtime Hack for audio to an more or less complex system. But Picoreplayer is a dedicated and minimalized system only to do some special things. There is no user who wants to listen to audio and do big stuff on that system other than running some display. I even think that "99" is more destructiv for the performance cause threading is a complex thing and in your OS is spend a whole lot of Brain Salad Surgery and time from people who knew how to build such things and why.
