Hi All, Is there an easy way to set up an I2C LCD display with piCorePlayer? Sorry if this is buried in one of the massive threads - they're a challenge to digest in my limited spare time.
My Squeezebox Classics have become too unreliable so I've replaced them with 3 piCorePlayer units (with HifiBerry output). Everything seems to work well (thank you devs!). I set one up with an official rPi 7" touchscreen, plus Jivelite, which works pretty well, though I'm not especially taken with it. I liked the SB display and I could make do with a basic cheap I2C LCD display for the others, but I haven't found any suggestion of easy ways to do it? Are there any? As an aside related to the massive forum threads, I feel like piCorePlayer could do with a Wiki or something. e.g. I didn't know how easy it would be to get an IR receiver going - in the end I just had to solder the 3 pins of a receiver on and enable lirc via the UI, and my old remotes just worked. Very cool, but many people contemplating it won't even realize how easy this is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jimmyfergus's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4323 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106745 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
