I figured it would check automatically with a dirty file system , but
possibly busybox mount is too stripped down to do that automatically. 
I'll have to look at that.  

Can you investigate what is not shutting down.  probably need a keyboard
and monitor connected to figure it out.   I have a USB Flash
drive/samba, I've never had it hang.
