I have a suggestion. Kick it in to touch if you feel it is irrelevant.

I run my Pi's & instances of Squeezelite at 100% volume as they are all
attached to hifi's with physical remote controls. I doubt I am alone in
setting up like this - as a complete aside I wonder what % go this
route.

Given that this setting is controlled within LMS on a per Player basis
is it worth dispensing with the volume controls in JiveLite piGrid Skin
in such instances. It would free up the space for alternate control
buttons. 

As I said it is just a thought and I guess the answer depends on why
Michael has turned his attention in this direction. We have seen a few
high end devices appear recently with what appears to be JiveLite on
board. Is there any connection?
