I'd suggest starting with just resetting the jivelite configuration.

On the tweaks page, might need to be in advanced mode under the jivelite
section click the reset button.  Jivelite will restart and you'll have
to setup your configuration again.
Make sure the player jivelite is controlling is the local squeezelite
running on the rpi as the DisplayOff is not availabe to configure when
controlling an external player.  But works for the any player after the
When Off setup is complete.

>From what I've read the newer firmware remembers the backlight state
between reboots, so if the on/off gets out of sync with the DisplayOff
applet, you need to backup your config, shutdown pcp, unplug the power,
wait 5 minutes and try again.  I'm still working on a fix for this.

Then, if you still have the problem, try reflashing your sd card with a
fresh image.
