I think I suggested that workaround which does work. I have a hacked O2 Joggler with the VU Screen on it and use it as a control point for a pair of Pi's - all three are synced. The only issue is that the Joggler needs to be connected to my amp on an unused input otherwise it outputs sound via its inbuilt speaker.
