Hi, I use an external Seagate 2,5" 1 TB USB-drive to store my music files and host LMS cache. The remaining issue I need to solve before retirement of my old Vortexbox server is that the USB-drive doesn't spin down, which I would like it to do for lifespan and powersaving reasons.
Has anyone made any attempt to resolve this? I've read about hd-idle that could target the issue but I am not skilled to test it by myself. are there other solutions? If you have a working solution and would like to share how to set it up I would be very grateful!
