The update in the web page takes some time to complete, depending on
your download speed, and rpi. (Single vs Multiple Core), it appears as
if nothing is happening.  If you want, you can open an ssh session, and
then run the update manually

sudo lms-update.sh -u -r

You can see the script running that way.
