I have been using the Pi i2s either standalone or through Allo reclocker and isolator successfully with many diy dac. Recently my friend lends me a Singxer dac that does not have any CMOS i2s but only a 3.3V Differential HDMI i2s connector. I have tried to connect my Pi HDMI into this dac and select HDMI Audio on the Squeezelite page but it does not work. Is the Picoreplayer HDMI audio work by sending i2s audio out? or purely only mean for connection to a TV HDMI? Can anyone enlighten me how the Picoreplayer HDMI works?
