Thanks for replying. 4.0.0 boots faster, so it gets to the point where it needs to mount the root partition quicker.....hence needing a little more delay. Since you are using this option, there is an option you might want to add to your config. dtoverlay=sdtweak,poll_once This will keep the system from continually looking for a SDcard, if you run with nothing in the slot. If you put that line in the custom area of config.txt, it will be retained through updates.
