Offering an alpha picore with this patch would help a lot, as we would
be able to test this feature extensively.
I hope you're as supportive to the pCP team as you expect them to be to
other projects... I'm sure Paul would be happy to make your extension
available to other testers, too. Why don't you ask the piCore team how
to build such an extension or build a new kernel? That would help a lot!
I'm sure Paul would be happy to receive a pull request from you.
