yes Michael. To build I used the included script. Looking into the
scripts. For instance faad2 only contains buildme-linux.sh and
buildme-osx.sh. I used the former for my FreeBSD platform. Any guess
which one was closer is just a guess. If we look at the script, it
untars, make and make install, then tars up the files used. So one needs
then to look into the make file to see what it did to make install.
Doing so requires to untar the tarball of the output. Then only one can
find that after patching, it created the binary into a temp directory
which was subsequently compressed.
I managed now to track down the flac binary in this way. I'm doing the
same for the others.
I'm attaching the log for the faad build in case you can suggest a
better way of looking at this. I appreciate this is not your or lms
developers' script though.
