Just started experimenting with this setup:
Code:
--------------------
Pi3BPlus | piCorePlayer v4.0.0 | linux 4.14.56-pcpCore_v7 | piCore v9.1pCP |
Squeezelite v1.9.0-1113
--------------------
I'm having an issue getting bit-perfect HDMI passthrough in order to use
DTS.
I first go to Tweaks -> Audio Tweaks page and set ALSA Output Level to
Custom. Then I go to Squeezelite Settings -> Card Control and click the
0dB button. This changes the Output Level to "96 pct of max. This
equals: 0.00dB", at which point the DTS bitstream is output unaltered
and my receiver can decode it. Good news!
The catch is that if I then click on "Backup", the Output Level changes
to "96 pct of max. This equals: -0.25dB" and DTS no longer works.
Is this a bug or am I trying to go about this the hard/wrong way? I only
fiddled with it at all in the first place because DTS wasn't working by
default. I remember getting this to work on a much older version, but
it's been a while and clearly the necessary steps have changed.
Thank you!
