I've stopping creating debian packages for squeezeplay x86_64 and i386, you'll need to use the tarballs going forward.
Uninstall the debian package. sudo apt-get purge squeezeplay Create /opt/squeezeplay if it doesn't exist. sudo mkdir -p /opt/squeezeplay extract the tar file sudo tar -C /opt/squeezeplay -xzf squeezeplay-pulse-7.8.0-1116-x86_64.tgz Before upgrading from tar files remove the old /opt/squeezeplay folder before extracting the new one, otherwise you could have multiple versions of some files installed.
